The Importance of Learning Sanskrit

Sanskrit is classical language and considered as the origin of all the languages. It is an old Indo-Aryan language in which most ancient documents are found in vedic period thus called Vedic Sanskrit. It is the ancient language in Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism and is derived as conjoining of “sam” which means Entirely and “krit” that indicate Done, thus the name indicated perfectly or entirely done. In terms of communication its quite difficult and complex than any other languages and approx.100 words to express a single meaning. Over its long history Sanskrit has been written in Devanagari script and in various regional scripts.

Though the ancient Sanskrit literature came into existence with the formation of vedas, the structure and grammar is developed by the famous Sanskrit grammarian called Panini. His major work was a treatise called Astadhyayi which focuses on distinguishing between the classic Sanskrit literature and the common language of communication.
