EPF Subscribers Can Access their Account Statements Online

Employee Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched e-passbook service where 50 million provident fund subscribers can now access their account statements online. The active EPF subscribers can keep track of their retirement fund, get alerts on employer’s contribution every month.

EPF subscribers need to view the website http://epfindia.gov.in/ and register online to view their EPF account e-passbook. Currently, the facility is available only for the members for whom the employer has uploaded the electronic challan cum return for the income of May 2012 onwards.

EPF account holders of inoperative accounts (where there is no contribution by the employer since 36 months) cannot access e-passbook facility. For such inactive account holders (left service) e-passbook can be provided later on special requests.

EPF account holders need not create and remember user ID or password. Members can use their mobile number as password and register themselves on website by using any of the identification numbers such as PAN, Aadhaar, Bank account, driving license, passport, voter ID, ration card and NPR (National Population Registry). After registration, members can download their e-passbook by entering his or her account number.

The e-passbook service shall allow one registration against one mobile number and each member can download the passbook for only one account under one establishment.
